Hello, I am not really sure if I am allowed to ask for this; but after 4 weeks living here, I realized, my Spanish was not going to improve without some help. Social life, thanks to the current situation is at point zero, never mind listening to somebody speaking foreign language with the facial mask on is impossible for me to learn new language. .

I am looking for an one-on-one spanish tutor, A good one, An aggressive one, who'd "force" me to be fluent within a year.. I learned English, just by being thrown to the English speaking environment and I was on my own before  I knew. Thank you :)

The same way you learned English I learned Spanish (that was 56 years ago). It's easier than it looks. 4.000 words are good enough for everydays matters. Substantives are not declined. Watch TV, read a paper, look after signs....and remember: nobody is perfect.

Thank you, that is very encouraging :)

I have been talked into classes on a daily basis. I gradually started to believe, that's the only way. So, I'll repeat my former experience with English then.

I appreciate

Mia

We live in England and have downloaded the Duolingo app and made a one off payment.  It is not expensive and we have been learning Spanish this way until we can come over to Spain to live and work.   It is easy, would highly recommend it and really good fun!

Hello Ray,

thank you for your time and help. However, as I stated in my message, I was only looking for one-on-one, preferably at my home, lessons.

But, I think, I will stick with what KillJoy recommended for now. I am pretty fast learner, however, quite impatient :) - I have been in Spain for 4 weeks and it frustrates me, that I cannot express myself :)

Thank you again

Mia

Hello,

yes, I am familiar with the app; we have worked with this a few months prior to our arrival.

I need to SPEAK and listen to real people. That's why I said - one-on-one.

Thank you

Mia

Yes, it will be part of my lessons - watching TV.

At this point we still don't have our furniture here. Our container is making it here much slower than we were told. And TV sets are there too.

Thank you

Mia
