Why not have a nice drive up to the Hondons. There are bodegas in both, and you can sample before you buy.
Chile was good.

As an afterthought, have you been to Bodega los Carmelos at La Marina? It's the restaurant where you help yourself to wine from the barrels when you're having a meal. It's called a bodega, so I imagine you could just go in and buy wine.

Go to Los Molinos restaurant in the Crevi to La Mata road - no distance. Excellent red wine from Jumilla from the barrel for about 2.50 a litre. If you have to ask the price then you probably can´t afford it. My German friends say that life is too short to drink poor wine....
You will not be disappointed.
