Cons: cold in winter: distance from coast, hospital, airport, civilisation.... the last is my little joke.

Hi Richard,
What are the average winter temperatures?

My wife had a chart of average temperatures before we came out here, we still laugh about it because it is so misleading! Where we live near the coast it has never fallen to below 5 degrees C in the night and is usually around 16 C in the day in the winter. In the summer the nights are about 28 C and days about 35 C.
You will need heating for 3 - 4 months once you are acclimatised and air con for about 6 months. The rest of the time the temperature is comfortable.
If you go inland, up the mountains, take 3 or 4 degrees off all of the temperatures.
Hope this gives you some idea. If you watch Channel 6 on Spanish TV, at 5 minutes to the hour, you can catch the weather or simply Google it.
Kind regards
Richard

Thanks Richard. We’re looking at inland so will bear that in mind.
