Hello to everyone

I've just come across this and can't get my head around this. It's about the COVID pass expiring.

It's in euroweekly news and here's the link

https://www.euroweeklynews.com/2021/12/21/covid-passports-given-an-expiration-date/?fbclid=IwAR2TfrREpw0ygc_vdPUHha3K--eQuOfWmaA-1V1rTySR4ADrXBohl2QZNTE

This doesn't sound good to me 😬

Sue 😘

Agree, nothing to worry about if you get your boosters in time - plural as for sure this won't be the last one!

Will only affect anti vaxers and will serve them right.

Hello

What is  it that you "can't get your head around?"

If you have not had your booster vaccination to add to vacs  1 & 2 received earlier this year + nine months  has elapsed since then....... you need a booster before Feb 2022 otherwise your Covid certificate won't  be valid.

Anything that encourages people to get a booster asap sounds very  good to me!

Cheers

I'm sorry, but I think this is offensive. I am vaccinated and had my booster but if someone decides not to be vaccinated that is there choice surely?

Personally I have no issue with mixing with people who aren't vaccinated and in my opinion no one has the right to ask if someone has or hasn't been vaccinated, this includes bars and restaurants. As far as I'm aware, customers have to be vaccinated to enter, but oddly staff don't have to be.

Hi Dazz,

It may vary, but certainly the bar/restaurant where a friend works in Benijofar insists that their staff prove they have been double-vaccinated.  I don't know whether this is stipulated in Spanish law, but it would seem inequitable to me that a hostelry owner has to demand proof from its customers, if they're not demanding the same standard from their staff 🤔

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi Sue,

I generally read anything in EWN with caution, but their quotes and references are plausible.  If the vaccines wane around the 6 month period, it makes sense to me that we should have our boosters on or around that time.  Good luck getting yours! 👍

Stay safe,

Kim

My husbands appointment is 15th Feb 2022 over 9 months since his 2nd vaccination. I haven't even been able to get an appointment. The medical centre at Cabo Roig is an absolute shambles.

I don't see how the EU can start considering us not fully vaccinated when they cant get us vaccinated in a timely manner. It's not like it's my fault the authorities wont pull their collective fingers out and get us jabbed so why should my liberty be curtailed because of their inefficiency.
