Hi John,

I hope you've already solved your aircon problem. But, if it's not the case, I can help you with the Spanish. I'm a Spanish teacher and I've just moved from Valencia for the school year.

Please, let me know if you still need that help.

Regards,

Maria

Any thing you can do to help as just keep being ignored in Cocentaina itself, let me know

John, it is highly likely that if water is coming out of the unit it will be condensation created across the cooling coils. A few simple tasks can cure this, check the air filters on front facia, if they have not been cleaned for a long time they will clog up and restrict air-flow across the coil. Is your unit at high level on a wall - if so then the condensate drain will probably be routed through the wall and into your drains outside. Finally, if the water is dripping from the unit, have a look at the collective tray under the front facia - this is used to collect the dripping condensate water from the coil and direct it into the drain pipe - there should be a hole at one end of the tray, where the water will run out into the drainpipe- check this hole isn't plugged with any dirt etc because if it is blocked then the water will collect in the tray and eventually spill over?

If your unit has a lift pump inside to pump the drain away, and the pump isn't working, then this will be the cause of the water leaking - however it will probably only have this if the drain needs to be pumped up to a level higher than the condensate tray, rather than being gravity fed

I've never worked on a HYASU unit, but the principles are broadly the same for all types of wall units. Well worth having a look yourself rather than call in a company from the coast (if you can get hold of one) and a lot cheaper too! The tasks that I have mentioned above are what a service engineer would/should do on a maintenance check and, if they are not done, then problems like yours will eventually happen

Steve

Hi John!

I've asked in Tien21 in Muro. They've got one technician (who is on holidays now) that charges 20€ and 20€ for transportation and another technician (David) that apparently lives in Cocentaina and has the same fees.

They've suggested me that you've got a clogged pipe and is necessary to unclogged it.

If you need me to phone them or meet you to help you out with the language, please let me know!

Regards,
