My friend lives in Spain and has lost her British passport.  She has just been offered a job in the Canaries.  She a TIE and has done a denunciation

Is there any air line that will let her fly and if so what documentation will she need. have tried making an appointment with the UK consulate but now t answering their phones.

She will obviously need a valid passport to travel anywhere, maybe I am missing something here. But according to your post she no longer has any passport in her possession. No airline will allow her to board or travel without a passport.

Not so, she can obtain an Emergency Travel Document, what the time scale is though I don't know.

Being essentially an internal flight it may be that her TIE will serve the purpose but she will have to approach potential carriers to find out if that is the case, probably better done at an airport customer service desk rather than on the phone to an airline.

I flew to Tenerife in January only using my TIE, passport not necessary.   I believe your friend can fly anywhere in Spain ie canaries, Balearics just using her TIE.

Here is the necessary information. It's sometimes better to ask Google. On a forum you will ALWAYS get conflicting information.

She can fly anywhere in Spain, including it's islands, with her TIE card, on any airline.

However she should get in touch with British Consul asap to have a new passport issued.
