Hello

Myself and my husband are heading to Santa pola in three weeks time for our first visit

Would like to know if the main square in Santa Pola is far from the marina or is there a bus stop near the marina and can we pay getting on or do we have to have a ticket to use the bus service

Any info much appreciated  on all topics for first timers e.g tapas bars local Spanish bars restaurants etc .......late 50s age group but young at heart ..........

Thanks in advance

Rita x

From marina less than 10 minute walk to the castle,  everything you need will be there, restaurants in marina are lovely too you will be spoilt for choice!! Ps worth a boat trip to tabarca while you're there too

That’s true . Everything is pretty close ...except when it’s HOT and then it takes 2 hours having to stop at a bar every 500 metres to rehydrate! ;)

Hi Rita,

The weather has got a lot cooler in the last week. So if you're planning on coming over to visit in November, I would advise you to bring a warm lightweight jacket , and some rain wear and warmer clothes. Layer up is always the sensible way to dress , at this time of year, as it can get quite cool in the evenings and early morning.....  Days are starting chilly but it can be lovely here in the afternoons, in the high teens/ low twenties. It reached 21 degrees today.   Perfect walking weather and most of the mosquitos have gone too👍 But a big change from two weeks ago when it was 28 and very humid. Hope you have a lovely time and the weather stays fine for you.....Santa Pola is a lovely place to visit in the winter...... Much quieter, beautiful coastline , lovely local cuisine  and a healthy environment.

 Enjoy yourselves. 🌝
