Denounce is a "false friend" of denuncia. Should be report.
If you report someone to the police they will take what they think is the appropriate action.

Could have some come backs. Your name will be on the denouncia.
Thank you
That won't be a problem. They have damaged a shared internal wall which has a largish hole. The wall is bowed and cracked. They know their builders have done it.

Hi Christine,
Do you know whether your neighbour obtained permission (a Minor or Major Works Licence) from the Town Hall for the work that their builders are doing? As well as the 'denuncia', I'd go that route as well, as the council can stop the work and force the neighbour to rectify the damage.
Kind regards,
Kim

Hi Kim
When I challenged them they said they don't need a license 😡. They have nothing on their van so have no idea of who they are.
I will try and find out where to go to report. Haven't lived here long so not familiar with places yet.
Thanks for your reply
Regards
Christine

Oh yes they do! At best, they're guilty of ignorance - unregistered builders will quite happily perpetuate that myth with unwitting owners - and at worst, your neighbours are complicit with their builders in ignoring planning law. A hole in a party wall is not good, but a bowing wall sounds even worse, if it suggests structural damage?
In your position, I'd take lots of photos (including the number plate of the builders' unmarked van 😉), then contact both your Ayuntamiento (town hall) and the police. The Abaco article which ElinSpain attached is excellent, but you don't need to pay them to find out a works license status that your Town Hall should know.
By the way, do they have a skip outside the property? If it's on the roadside, they need a license for that too - another matter to report to the police.
Do let us know how you get on. Good luck!
Kind regards,
Kim

I have an apartment which I visit just a few times a year. A family has moved into the adjoining apartment and every morning without fail while I have been staying in the apartment the woman next door starts screaming at a child, who subsequently cries. This happens after another person has left their apartment at roughly the same time every day apart from the weekend. We can hear the child talking perfectly normally and sounds content before this other person leaves. I have wanted to knock on their door to see if there is a problem and have reported it to the administration company, who have not responded to me. I am not in Spain at the moment and dread going there again in case I hear more of the same. I am not sure of the nationality of the family but they are definitely not Spanish and could be Polish, Romanian or other eastern European.
