My dream of moving to Costa Blanca next year.
Hi guys.
Just got back yesterday from a 1 week holiday on the Costa Blanca south where I had planned on moving too next summer but my dream was shattered during my stay which left me broken hearted.💔
I went on a few viewing trips to different areas on the Costa Blanca which were all very unique in their own way. Some nice properties and some dreadful but I suppose it was just my budget that only allowed me to go so far.
Anyway after all the highs and lows of the trip one agent brought me back to reality when he asked how I was going to support myself and my 2 daughter's if I moved out. I said we would all get work. He said it was very hard to get employment out there that the Spanish can't even get work.
He all mentioned about the healthcare system and informed me we would all need private health insurance and that came at a very high price. He said we would need to learn the Spanish along with possibly another language to get proper employment where you pay a stamp. He also mentione that I would need to prove an income of 950 per month to get residency.
My head was in such a mess I didn't think it would be so difficult to move to Spain 😢
I don't believe this man was deliberately trying to put me off he just didn't want me to make any big mistakes as he said it happens quite often. He had nothing to loose or gain by giving me this information he just seemed to be looking out for me. I sat there and cried as my dream had ended so quickly.
Maybe it's just not the right time I don't know maybe i should wait till retirement age im only 53 now but what I do know is that I will fulfil my dream some day.
If there are people out there that can shed some light on this I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
