The Queen is a 94 year old lady and I don't care , corona virus distancing or not, I thought  it was a disgrace the way she was completely alone at her late  husband's funeral. She got out of the car alone, walked alone. Not even an arm to support her. Ì am 74 and sometimes appreciate someone's arm to lean on.  She could have fallen or collapsed. She should always have someone by her side to support her if needed, to talk to, for any reason at all but she should never be left alone.  She is 94.  Cop on you top civil servants .

Do you insist on the same exceptions for "normal" people at "normal" funerals?

Trust me if the Queen had wanted someone with her she only had to say. She was abiding by the rules and setting an example to everyone that has had to do this before her. It just shows how strong she is !!

I’m sure Saddlepillar’s remarks encompassed “normal” people’s funerals also

If it was Her Majesty’s decision to abide by the rules, and I’m sure it was, I still think she cut a very sad, lonely figure, sitting all alone. I would think that of anyone, regardless of their station in life. It’s human nature to want to offer comfort to a bereaved person 🤪🥂

And yet every person in that hall will have been vaccinated. If the vaccines don't mean normallity what are they for?

They probably haven’t, even the Queen waited for her turn. And even if they have all had the vaccine, it doesn’t mean that they still couldn’t pass it on to her

She was, apparently, accompanied in the car by one of her ladies in waiting, Lady Susan Hussey. So sad any person of 94 years has to sit alone at their spouses funeral 🤪🥂

Maybe she just didn't want anyone from her family near her. I mean, if that was your family, would you? None of them have exactly covered themselves in glory, despite being gifted untold wealth and opportunity.

Pretty much your average family then 🤪🥂
