Hi everyone

Just a quick question: Is there a lot of work going in Torrevieja? Or is there more in Alicante?

Cheers in advance

Depends what you mean by work.......

If you mean train drivers work, maybe none in either town.  If you mean bar work then probably equal.

Maybe if you rephrase your question you might get better quality answers.

Where do you live now, in the UK?

To be honest, I meant anything - I realise it was a kind of vague question. Nothing specialised (like train driver), I was thinking bar work or similar...

I would think that Torrevieja in the main holiday season would have more bar/hospitality work available.

If you are living in the UK now it will be virtually impossible to get work in Spain.

My wife and I live in Finland, so she's an EU national and I have Finnish residency. We move to Spain on Sunday. We have two properties to choose from, one in Guardamar and one in Torrevieja, so I was just thinking aloud, really. From what I can gather, Guardamar has better public transport links (I have no idea how true this is; that's just what I'm getting from Google), so that was the basis for my original question

Not true.  I read something yesterday about Spain inviting people outside of the EU to come and work by applying for a visa…up to 5 years.

Sorry but I don't think that is correct otherwise it would be all over the expat forums. I belong to several forums and none have that mentioned.

A link would be great.
