I live in Benidorm and use IPTV to receive UK TV. To use IPTV successfully you will need a very stable Internet service. I'm with Movistar using their high speed fibre optic cable.

Have a satellite dish fitted (1.6 mt minimum) and buy a receiver, no monthly charges after paying for your equipment and fitting. I have this system and have about 50 odd channels to watch.

Hi, I use an IPTV service which costs around 75 euro per year, our internet delivers around 60-80 Mbps and we do not get buffering, you would also need a VPN, I will not go into the legalities of using this method.

I believe if you subscribe to sky in the UK it's possible to receive your service here in Spain but that will require a dish around 1.6m though I believe you can stream sky as well via sky go app but pretty sure you would still need a VPN.

The little dish already in place will probably be for the Spanish version of Freeview (TDT) and assuming your TV settings are set for English language there is a lot of English language programs but depends what you like watching.

If you decide on the streaming option you will probably need an unlimited data option as streaming uses a lot of data depending on the quality of the video stream, IE SD, HD, FHD.

I've been using IPTV for 8 years and have never used a VPN. It is not always necessary to use VPN if you are using a perfectly legal service.

No system is without its drawbacks, if you go the satellite route the slightest spell of bad weather high winds, rain etc and you wont get a signal. IPTV is only as good as your internet downside if there is a problem then no TV. We have both systems glad we have as in March & April we had really bad weather and had to fall back on our IPTV system, but on Thursday we had no IPTV nothing to do with our internet but a problem with the suppliers system. So as i said no system is perfect you just have to decide which one suits you best.

There are many places that offer to install IPTV equipment and provide the UK TV. They advertise in the Spanish newspapers.

I am with tvmucho who do TV packages with upto 60 channels. Also German and Irish TV.
