Good morning,

I don't know whether any body has any idea of IF Spain will ever allow unvaccinated people to come to Spain.

I had the first Astrazenica vaccine when it came out and have had non stop chest infections since, being hospitalized for nearly a month on intravenous antibiotics.  This scared me so much that I will not take any more jabs and would rather get the mild Omicrom if it happens.  Ive gone nearly two and a half years so far ok.

Trouble is - I bought a property in Benijofar in 2019 and if I am not allowed ever into Spain then there is no point in having it at all. I found I could breathe much better in the warm drier climate in Spain, but if Spain does not change its laws then I will just have to sell.  Does anybody have any idea of where Spain might be going with this.  Other countries, like Israel, Greece etc, are now allowing non vaccinated people in.  Is it possible that Spain will relent to this also.

Many thanks for any help that would be appreciated

Max

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

Hi Max,

I'm afraid that Bibba's post is misleading.  The extracts quoted have been presented in such a way as to suggest unvaccinated UK citizens travellig to Spain can currently enter the country - they cannot.

Last Saturday, 14th May, the Spanish government's state bulletin (BOE) extended temporary restrictions for non-essential travel (including tourism) from most Third Countries for another month, i.e. until 15th June 2022.  That means that non-EU/Schengen adults who reside outside of the EU and who haven’t been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or recovered from the illness in the past six months, cannot enter Spain for the purpose of holidaying during the next month.  Spain continues to not accept negative Covid-19 tests from British, American, Canadian, Indian or other third-country nationals who are neither vaccinated, nor recently recovered.  On 11th February this year, the Spanish authorities made an exception to this rule for non-EU/Schengen teenagers, aged 12 to 17, to visit Spain for tourism if they provided a negative PCR.

It is important that you read the rules for entry to Spain in their entirety - the "exemptions" that Bibba has quoted apply specifically to "EU citizens and accompanying family members of an EU citizen (including those travelling for tourism purposes), residents of Spain, or those covered by one of the other exemptions listed, may present alternative documentation to the vaccine certificate."

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi Max,

I don't know whether this is an option for you, but the Spanish government has issued a further state bulletin today, which says Spanish authorities will no longer request proof of Covid-19 vaccination, testing or recovery from people who enter Spain by land from France, effective from tomorrow, Thursday 19th May.  However, in respect of the return journey, the French Embassy in Spain states that all unvaccinated arrivals in France, including those arriving by land, still have to show proof of a negative PCR or antigen test before crossing over into France from Spain.

The restriction preventing unvaccinated UK citizens from entering Spain by air remains in force until at least 15th June 2022, as previously advised.

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi, Thabnks - I did two years research and I am a member of VaccineNews on the internet and I know people have and are still dying.  Its shocking how they can get away with this.  If #Spain will not let me and my husband back then that is their loss.  I will just have to sell and lose the dream.  I have learned a lot of spanish too but my life is more important.  Thanks again..  x

Good morning Kim, I must admit Bibba got my hopes up but I am grateful for your post which clarified it totally.  Many thanks.  I will wait till September as I have missed my first three months there from March and if no change by then Im not sure they need people like me.  Thanks again.
