Hello,

Was wondering if anyone could tell me who would be best equipped to advise about retiring to Spain.

My wife and I are Irish passport holders who are both retired but worked and at present live in the UK ,we  would like know about  healthcare, pensions, and anything else that may be relevant.

Thanks in advance 🙏

Mitch

Hi there . My wife and I are now back in the U.K. permanently but we lived in Spain for 14years . We had a great life and found the Spanish very friendly and helpful . We attended Spanish lessons provided free by the local authority . We were residents and paid tax in Spain . The health service was excellent and very few delays . Property was reasonably priced and purchasing and selling was very efficiently done through the local Notarios . Frankly we miss our life in Spain . Let me know if I can help further

Keep  a  bolthole   in UK  or  Ireland  to  escape   the July   August   heat. A  lot  of  ex-pat get  away  somewhere  cooler in  July  August  time. Air  conditioning   a  must  in  living accommodation.

Just  a  small  bit  of  advice  Hope it of  some  help

Buy an apartment in Ireland to have as an address. Then you can leave everything as it is, health care, tax, and you can come and go to Spain as you like without all the red tape.
