Yes prescription needed in our local in Catral, I read today on the Quesada forum same question and several chemists are listed where they will sell over counter but limited to 2.

Yes. Ì buy over the counter in Torrevieja. Ì always buy 2. Thanks for the tip. There's one thing ticks me off. I'm on Xarelto which is a blood thinner. I'm 74 and get it on my medical card in Ireland. Ì must pay for it here. 90 euro per month. Ì get my other tabs on my S.I.P. card here. It's no big deal. Whatever I get on the European medical card from Spain, the bill is sent to Ireland and they get re imbursed. Can't understand it.

It depends which pharmacy you go to, we buy some painkillers, some allow you to buy them others say prescription only, if you try different pharmacies you will find the ones that will sell them to you.

Hello. Since you are taking anticoagulant medication, it usually requires a monthly test - here at my clinic in Catral and at my local surgery in UK it’s recommended. Are you having such a test done ? I would recommend asking your doctor for an update re your blood levels and then they will recommend the equivalent in Spain medication.
