Hi all, just joined the forum.

Just booked some flights to spend 4 weeks touring around the region (March).
Last year we did a three week mini tour driving from Malaga to Ciudad Quesada looking at different areas and looking forward to doing it again exploring some different areas.

Planning on travelling between Denia and Ciuad Quesada, just far enough each way from the airport for when we find the right area/ property we like the best.

We have never traveled to the area before so would welcome any advice or recommendations. Looking at renting a apartment for a week in Denia to have a good look about but don’t know where to look for or avoid. Not interested in being right in the middle of the hustle and bustle (polite way of saying noise haha )  but don’t want to be in the sticks.

Flights and car booked, no accommodation booked, bring on the next adventure!

Before your visit I would suggest that you have a look at the following websites as some things have changed since the end of 2021.   Also be aware that Ciudad Quesada comes under the jurisdiction of Rojales and parts of it can get very busy and noisy with lots of traffic during the summer months.

Citizens Advise Bureau Spain for bureaucratic stuff.

N332 for anything to do with driving in Spain.   This site is run in collaboration with officers of the Guardia Civil for English speaking people.   Their Facebook page also keeps us up to date with rules and regulations regarding the virus.

Don't forget that currently you must wear a facemask both inside shops, bars, etc. and outside.

Hello

I'm sorry but I don't understand how any of this ,  is a  direct reply to someone looking to rent an Apt. in Denia  for a holiday in March ( & play golf - possibly).

I hope you get some personal recommendations but in the meantime, here are a couple of links to look at.

There is an urbanisation which comes under the aegis of Denia called La Sella. It is in principle a golf resort, although the sport is not compulsory!  There are some very nice properties there. If you look it up, you should find further info. Here is one link

Hi there. It is a wonderful area to explore right from Alicante (beautiful old town & castle) right up to Valencia. Denia is a great base for all the area as everywhere is only in about an hour away. Benidorm is fun for a day visit (lovely old town & beaches), though personally I wouldn’t want to stay there! Altea is beautiful, Calpe (go & see the flamingos) and Moraira are lovely too. Don’t miss a trip to Guadalest and the Algar waterfalls. Denia is a wonderful town with so much to see & do - as is Jávea with the old town, port & beach areas. It’s lovely inland as well in the Jalon Valley. Saturday Market is great in Jalon. Valencia is definitely worth visiting. My husband mostly golfs at Oliva (on Tuesdays they have a pay & play thing & can match you with others if you are alone.) He also plays at LaSella but this has become more expensive recently. He also recommends the Melia & Levante courses just outside Benidorm. In Denia the Las Marinas area may be good for you to stay. It’s about 4K out of town but buses run up & down the coast road. There should be plenty places to rent in March (though busy at Fallas). Try Airbnb, VRBO & booking.com

Its where the best beaches are in Denia and there are plenty places to walk to for food or a drink. Have a great time 😀
