Hello

My husband and I are considering renting an apartment very near the beach and parks long term but have no idea what the area is like can someone please advise if it’s a nice and safe area as we don’t want to end up somewhere bad.

Thank you

Hello:

Guardamar is a very safe town, the area is very busy Easter, July and August. Very quiet the rest of the year. Really all the town is 500 meters from the beach so you have a big area to choose.

Regards.

Yes we love Guardamar in the winter months, so laid back.

Beautiful town, but just remember it becomes less of a resort out of season. Because it’s mainly residential, everything does operate on Spanish opening times - closing for siestas and restaurants open in line with Spanish meal times.

We’re slightly inland at Benijofar, but go to Guardamar a lot. It’s a lovely safe, Spanish seaside resort. Beautiful beaches and good walks through the parks. I prefer it to Torrevieja personally. As others have mentioned it does get very busy in the summer.

My daughter in law came to Guademar for the month of July this year.   Liked it so much, is buying a flat there.   Good luck.  Regards.
