Afternoon

My partner and I have brought a property in the village and are coming over to pick up the keys this weekend. We hope to get over quite regularly and we're looking forward to meeting members of the local community!

All/any tips from the forum members on places to eat/drink/shop as well as any other more practical tips are most welcome.

Look forward to hearing from you!

Regards

David

Hi, I don't live in Jacarilla but have stayed at a friend's a few times. There is a lovely little bar in the park.

There is a supermarket, chemist, bricolage etc.

There are lots of walking routes for the winter months if you like to walk. The nearest bigger town is benejuzar, which has big supermarket,  banks, a nice Mexican restaurant & lots of nice Spanish bars.

We really enjoyed it when we stayed.

Not sure about buses as you mentioned in another post, but there must be a few a day. 😊

Welcome to Jacarilla, I don’t live there but often visit. Ask about the caves bar, also known as the Mushroom Bar, it is a hidden gem but unfortunately don’t serve food. I live on Vista Bella golf 7 km away and lots of Jacarilla residents come here as we have a fantastic golf club with outside entertainment several nights a week, also several bars with entertainment and lots of nice restaurants.

Hi. I’m Jules, David’s partner. We arrived here in Jacarilla a couple of days ago. What a lovely little village!  We found the El Jardin bar last night - it was lovely. We’re at La Cueva at the moment. Beautiful place. Might be a regular. 😂. We are going to love having a house here!  Thanks for the tips re walking and Benejuzar. We can’t wait to explore. 😃

Hi Gill556!  Thanks for your message. Good to know re Vista Bella Golf. We do love a wee night out!  We must visit some time. Our house feels like home already!  😃
