Life on Las Ramblas

Public transport is minimal - there is a local bus service with a stop outside The Stray Sod bar (which has regular entertainment), but it's only every 90 minutes and doesn't operate early,late or at weekends.

For walking in general, be aware that it is a very hilly area which is no fun in full sun! However there is a very walkable canal (look on Google maps - it runs by The Stray Sod). Using the canal, and a road, you can walk to La Zenia Boulevard (a huge shopping centre) and easily get a taxi back. I'm not sure how long the walk is.

There are plenty of bars and restaurants but shops are a bit limited nearby - you're nearest supermarkets would be Mercadona and Aldi (again, look on Google maps). These facilities are almost all clustered in the commercial centre known as La Fuente.

I don't have any real knowledge of the golf resort itself - but I did explore in a car once and I believe there is only one way in/out (at the La Fuente end).

Golf courses tend to be fairly isolated, although there are a few exceptions. Most only have a clubhouse and prices to eat and drink on site are more expensive  than elsewhere.  As an example one golf course in the area charges 4€ for a coffee.  Depending on which part of Las Ramblas you are looking at you are looking at at least a 5 minute drive to your nearest bars and shops around the area  La Fuente CC. Public transport is limited in the area, sometimes just once or twice a day, I’ve never heard of a bus route going to Las Ramblas, but hopefully someone can prove me wrong, but even if it did it would only visit the clubhouse and it could be a long walk to your property from there.

I would check out Google Maps, that will show you how near/far everything is, but I would suggest you would most definitely need a car if you plan on living there.

Presumably you have checked out the cost of living on a golf course as your IBI (council tax) and community fees could be expensive.

Thank you . I won't be buying a property .I will be renting. I'm just looks at all courses around the murcia area. I have been offered one on la torre golf course.  

We would prefer a house on any golf course that is close to shops. Bars etc

When you say "daily living" it sounds like you want to move permanently to Spain?

If so, I suggest you turn your question around to become "where can I live with easy access to amenities, and close to a golf course?".

In my area, I suggest the area around Villamartin Golf - but it's still difficult to live there without a car.

In general,  Murcia is not like Scotland (your home country?) where golf courses are closer to local towns - the courses/resort are primarily built to attract golf tourists, not residents.

You are very wise to rent not buy, at least to begin with.
