Taking the train would give you a much shorter journey time, and the train runs much more frequently than the bus.

Thanks Jim the problem with the train station is that it's quite a walk I believe ( not done the walk yet) do you know of a short cut from Las Palmeras end of Crevillent​?

Sorry, I don't know Crevillente very well at all, but I take your point it would be a bit of a hike to the train station.

(Only place I know is the nice restaurant at the camp site).

Yes, the bus is at the beginning of Crevillente as it comes from Elche, the adress Calle San Vicente Ferrer (Fontenay) just at the corner of Parc Nou.

Yes, i think your referring to Las Palmeras its fab I agree, been in a few times for a coffee.
