Hi, I'm an Australian coming over to Spain in early January as a language assistant and have been placed in a primary school in Crevillente. I am wondering what public transport is like between Alicante and Crevillente, as I am looking at living in one of those larger towns. For example, is there a local bus that runs frequently between Crevillente and Alicante/Elche or is it just infrequent large buses?

Also, is there a bus that goes from Crevillente train station to the main town of Crevillente? As I've noticed the train station is quite far to walk.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The town hall website gives a link to the bus operator. Have a look at that and see what the stops and destinations are:

As a follow-up, I've come across a language assistants handbook for the Balearic islands, in English.

A lot of it won't be relevant to you, but I suggest you download it and have a look. As well as the actual schools and teaching information related to the Balearics, it also tells you what bureaucratic procedures, like NIE and ID card, are required, and such information will be applicable to all of Spain.

The following is the download link - it just does the download without opening a web page:
