Where can we go for Spanish lessons
Goodmorning
We have just relocated to Spain and are desperate to learn Spanish. Could anyone please point us in the right direction
ThanksNikki

Seems difficult but it isn't. The best school is life itself. It took me 3 years from nothing to fluent w/o ever having taken any lessons, BUT listening to the radio and reading the daily newspaper ABC. Give it a try and don't care if at a start you will understand absolutely nothing. As the Chinese say: a jorney of 10.000 miles begins with one simple step, or you'll never swim unless you jump into the water.

I completely agree with you. The best teachers are the locals. Once you explain that you are serious about learning Spanish they will bend over backwards to help you. OK you will get it wrong occasionally but that's part of the fun 😁.

In Crevillent, behind the abastos (food) market is a language school run by Clare ( English with Spanish teacher), highly recommended.

I have noticed that Netflix has a number of films and TV series where you can change the language into a few, including Spanish. This goes for the subtitles too, which is very helpful.
When we were in Prizren in Kosovo, many people spoke fluent English. All of those we spoke with said they learned from the TV, as most programs broadcast were in English with subtitles underneath. TV isnt always chewing gum for the eyes.

Thanks Ray. I'm still stuck in the UK so have no access to the Spanish TV news channels, but at least Netflix helps!
