Hello all.  Longshot.  We are in Hondon de los Frailes.  A year ago the brakes on our ancient Mitsubishi 4x4 failed. We had it grua-d to Talleres Salva (Salvador), next to Las Palmeras, and he did the most amazing job on it, sourcing a part from a scrapyard.  Its now losing water and not driveable, needs to be grua-d again, but we can't get hold of Salva.  He doesn't answer his phone or respond to messages.  Does anyone know if he's still in business, and how to get hold of him?  If not can anyone recommend a specialist 4x4 mechanic?  Many thanks

Hi, if the car is loosing water first thing to do is identify where it's being lost, fill the radiator and run the car while looking in the engine bay.

Once the leak is found fix it, if it's a hose replace it, if it's the radiator try a leak repair fluid (see below link). It's not rocket science and it's really not difficult, there is certainly no need for a 4 x 4 expert.

If it's a cracked radiator the sealant should fill it however if the crack is large then a new radiator might be required or the radiator might be fixable by brazing.

Other things it could be is a cracked engine block which would mean a new engine though core plugs should blow before this occurs, could be cylinder head gasket, either of these you probably will not see a leak and you would require a mechanic.
