Short mat bowls

Could I ask if Short Mat Bowling is currently being played and if so where is the location and times of play?

Yes we are still playing, the address is “ Francisco de Goya 6,Daya Nueva, if you are using sat nav it may not show as the street name was changed 2 or 3 years ago. If you are familiar with Daya Nueva we are situated in the street close to the farmacia, there is a panaderia on the corner we are 4 or 5 metres down the side street.Visitors-days are Wednesday and Thursday you will need to be there by 10.15 as we start the game at 10.30. If you come on Wednesday please ask for Bernard, if you come Thursday ask for Brian, looking forward to meeting you.

Hi, we are interested in playing short mat bowls but live in La Romana which is 40 mins away. Please can you confirm that you are still playing before we make the journey over. Many thanks. Jackie & David.

Hi, we started playing here a couple of weeks ago. Nice friendly club with some good players. We go on Thursday mornings. Get there for 10.15am play starts at 10.30. if you need to borrow bowls they have club bowls. It's an old shop on Francisco Goya 6 Daya Nueva. It's the only short mat bowls club we have been able to find so we have a 40 min drive but worth it as we didn't enjoy the long mat bowls so much. It's just off the main road through the town. If you see the pharmacy there is a panaderia to the left, take the side street to the left of the panaderia and it's about 3 doors down on the right. They also play on Wednesday.

Hi, the best directions are those given by Brian in the comments above. If you arrived early before the others you probably might have missed it. We did the first time we went and just hung around in the street until someone came to open up. It's easy to miss as it looks like an Abandoned shop until the shutters are up.. Did you find the pharmacy on the high street? There is a panaderia to the left of it and the side street is to the left of the panaderia as you are looking at it. I would offer to meet you outside the pharmacy but we are unfortunately without transport for a couple of weeks.
