Hi all,

We're a "early retired" couple, both 61, and have seen a great property in Calle Alemania, Daya Nueva which we're considering for a permanent home. My wife has fallen in love with it however I'm concerned about the location as it seems a very quiet village and as neither of us speak Spanish I'm concerned we'll be very isolated. "Everywhere" is a drive away.

We're not city people and want a laid back lifestyle, but I'm concerned we'd end up living like hermits. Is there any expat community in the village that meets up for social interaction?

Thanks in advance

There are quite a few brits there. Its only 10/12 mins to bigger towns  there are bars restaurants  veg Market fish market. We live in the next village about 2kms away. We're in our 60's. We have all of our social life outside our village which is much smaller than yours. You have a dr andpharmacy If you do decide to move there message us and we can meet up for a coffee and  chat. You have a hardware shop fish market small supermarket only for bits and pieces but 5 different large supermarkets within 10 mins drive.

Thanks everyone for the positive responses, time for a second viewing  :)

Also, I assume that there's no fibre internet service, do you get internet and TV via satellite? The property has a dish on the roof, so I assume this is for this purpose.

Merry Christmas to all!
