Hi we’ve recently moved to the area with our two children.

Is there any bus services, maybe for the summer? Day trips that kind of thing?

Thanks all

Xxx

There is a bus station in Almoradi where you can see a timetable for the buses to Torrevieja, Orihuela and some other places.

Also, if you have a look at some of the 'freebie' newspapers that are abundance in this area (in English) there are advertisements for day trips with certain pick up points - Costa Blanca People, Euro Weekly News, Weekender.    As you have internet connection, have a look at this site:   https://www.coachtripsonline.com/index.php/day-trips.

Have you had a look at this site:   https://www.ayuntamiento-espana.es/ayuntamiento-daya-nueva.html

It is the town hall site.

Hi, we brought in Daya Vieja, not full residents but we are there a lot of the time and sorry to advise that there is no bus service so you need a car.  Even just going into larger towns like Beniofar to do shopping or to go to the beach a car is needed. I appreciate the cost of buying and running a car do not come cheap but when you factor in the convince and you can take as much as you want in the car it outweighs taxi or public transport . Plus you choose when you go and when you come back. You could drive to Almoradi for bus or to San Isadora for train

Hi I bit the bullet and hired a car for the last 4 days and I’m not so sure why I worried. I’ve driven to Almoradi every day, drove into Daya Vieja, took the family to guardamar beach yesterday and drove to formentura de segura the other evening.

I think we are going to get one for sure.

Thanks for all the replies.

I would suggest that you have a look at the N332 Facebook page and website as you have now ‘bit the bullet’.   N332 is run in collaboration with officers of the Guardia Civil for English speaking people.   There is also an English version of the Spanish equivalent of the Highway Code on their Facebook page.
