I am coming to Daya nueva today (17/4) with my lovely mum.  She’s bit wobbly on her legs but want her to see quite a bit of area.  She’s 91 years young and i was wondering if there is anywhere locally to hire a small fold up wheelchair until Friday night.  Been quoted 45€ for those few days .  Any ideas or could point me in right direction for Wednesday morning, would be appreciated

'locally' is the problem.

Look at :

And congratulations to your mum - she sound like what I'd call, with kindly intent, a 'game old bird!'

Thank you Jim.  Any places of interest around the area for ‘My game ole bird’ who’s keen to get out on our day 1.  We have a car.  If not, looks like the Rioja is getting it at lunch in village!

Nothing really gripping to see in this area. You could have a trundle along the prom at Guardamar and then a drink and tapa at one of the bars on the front. Or if you haven't got her wheels, up the mountain at Callosa to the church for views across to the sea (but not today - you wouldn't get onto the road up because of the market). Further afield, Orihuela and Elche old towns are OK to look around, but parking nearby can be a problem.

Hopefully someone else will chip in quickly - as a long-term resident I forget what newcomers like to see.

Thank you for that.  Maybe take the ‘ole girl’ to outdoor market
