Hola is there much to do in Daya Vieja ?are there many amenities that remain open all year or just seasonal? We have 3 children and grandchildren who want to do sailing lessons also want to walk to bars /restaurants etc.Integrate with local indigenous  residents and to improve on our Spanish .

Any advice would be welcomed

Thank you

Wendyh

We brought in Daya Vieja 16 months ago as it has everything we need, lovely restaurants, a bar in the village centre which does bar meals/snacks, this is a great meeting place, a bakery, small shop , doctor, chemist, village hall, all remain open all year round. We have a shared pool but there is a communal village pool but that is only open in high season.   Its certainly not party central, but its location is great, a short drive to great beaches, (9 klm) large supermarkets are 5 mins away, and "night life" if needed is not faraway.  Everyone has made us very welcome and very helpful and everyone knows someone who can sort out anything that you cannot do. At the village hall  there are free Spanish lessons, some good walks, we have 2 children and 4 grandchildren who all love it here. is it right for you ? all depends and what you want but one thing I can say is you get a lot of property for your money in Daya Vieja. We brought through Casa Manuel who I cannot praise highly enough.
