You cannot register a vehicle unless you are permanent resident. Furthermore, there is a special transfer tax on used vehicles dependning on make and age, not on condition. Used vehicles are ridicuously overpriced, better think twice.

Spanish law allows foreign nationals, both residents and non-residents, to purchase a car in the country. According to the General Directorate of Traffic, about 861,000 cars were sold in Spain between January and December 2021. Make sure you go to a reputable dealer I have bought 2 cars from Guardamar cars as have many friends and neighbours always had excellent service and after service they sort all the paperwork out

Thanks for the reply.  If I'm living in the country I will need a car so won't be thinking twice but thanks anyway.
