A few years ago I sent a laptop well wrapped to a friend in Torrevieja using Royal Mail and their tracking option with insurance, the laptop did arrive safely, worth getting a price, but there are many delivery companies out there, but take out insurance!

Tell your son to go on parcels to go, he will get quotes from all courier companies delivering to Spain

We had a nightmare with parcels2go they were impossible to get in contact with and that was 5 years ago, it will be even worse now they have the excuse of Covid. They took 3 months to deliver a parcel from the UK to Spain, they kept fobbing us off by saying they could not get in touch with their agents in Spain! Make of that what you will. Eventually we had to get the MD involved, it was a very stressful experience.
You are better off with one of the big boys DHL, UPS they may be more expensive but it's worth it for peace of mind.
