I have used Sabadell, Av. Marques De Campo, for a couple of years now. I am very happy with the support received either online or in person, with communication never a problem. Much of our contact is made whilst we are in the UK.

You don't necessarily need a Spanish bank account, depending on your circumstances. Have a look at https://wise.com/es 

They don't offer loans of any sort, but can do pretty much everything else online, and cheap

I also use Sabadell bank. I used them as a non resident for a couple of years then as a resident since 2014. Excellent service and communication. Their app is very useful. 

I've also been using Transferwise (now called Wise) for 8 years for transferring money from the UK to Sabadell Spain. Never had any problems.

Just to let you know I use Sabadell and have done for a few years, very good and have plenty of branches.

I used to send money via my HSBC as a direct transfer and was normally there the same day, if done in the morning.

Then I switched to using WISE transfer, even faster I had an acknowledgement via the Sabadell APP that the money had arrived 4 seconds after I had done the transfer.

So was in the Sabadell account before HSBC said it had left - Thats FAST and very good.

I agree we have used this bank for a good few years always helpful in person or on the phone .

Sabadell is an excellent bank. If you live in the Comunidad Valenciana you will find that it has more branches in this area than other banks. 

I have been with Bankia since 2003 and they speak English also pleased with the way they have treated me over the years.

I fund my account using Revoult from my U.K. account and transfers are instant at very good exchange rates

We also have used Bankia in Denia for many years. They have a number of staff fluent in English who are helpful and competent. My only reservation is that we find the banking charges very high compared to home (Ireland).
