Hi we had planned to get the ferry from Jersey to St Malo and then drive down through France into Spain to Denia where we have accommodation booked. Does anyone know of any current travel restrictions between France and Spain or even within Spain? We’ve had this booked for a year ☹️

Travelled from uk through Eurotunnel down through France and Spain , as we have for last 6 years and everything is the same, no border control to enter Spain. The Eurotunnel and roads were quieter than previous. No Covid forms needed, only when flying

We came 5 weeks ago the roads were great , we didn’t take the toll Road so went through a few villages which was lovely! We stopped in Poitiers the first night and Zaragoza the second! You can drive it in 2 days with one stop which we did in March but had to sleep in the car then due to nothing being open! The border was deserted and no other blocks on the way! Hope you have a good trip!

I heard Spain maybe restricting movement between provinces so wondered how you’d drive down through Spain if that was the case?

We came down a week ago through Eurotunnel we had 2 overnights in France then drove straight through Spain to La Zenia . The journey was fine no issues anywhere France or Spain we stopped at various services again no problems , very strict measures in place with wearing of masks and sanitising . It was so good to see everyone complying as it’s so frustrating in U.K. that many people just ignore and nobody challenges them . We had a very pleasant journey I’m sure you will too .

I drove to the uk and back to Denia 5 weeks ago via saintes , lovely long drive no border stops, I never avoid toll roads, don’t think there are any using that route ( in Spain I mean) possibly one. But the aires in France are brilliant, it depends on how quickly you want the journey over, I had one night around saintes and one in Folkestone, no checks until you get to the euro tunnel.

We have driven same route every time  cross on tunnel. Drive to a hotel in Le Mans for first night then drive down to Bordeaux and onto Pamplona and stay in hotel for night then drive to Torrevieja on final day.      The trip is split up to roughly 500 miles a day.  Which is enough for me.  We use the toll roads which are about €110   I had looked at avoiding them but my sat nav and route planners I have looked at put an extra 6 hours on.
