Hi,

Just a quick thought for anyone hiring a car at Alicante airport,on return when you have the choice to return the car with tank full, make sure you fill up at La Marina service station,as that’s the last fuel stop before the airport,I made a mistake of traveling on and finally reaching the airport with low fuel,and having the cost of 97 Euro + 35 Euro service charge.

So be aware there is no fuel for over 40 kilometres from la marina.

Hi there are 2 petrol stations in Santa Pola one on the roundabout on the n-332, 12 kilometres from the airport, we always do full to full and never had a problem using this as our last stop to fill up , hope this helps

Thanks for that,but at night and not knowing the roads so well,there is no fuel on the main road into the airport.

Hello Dave, when you say at night, what time do you mean, there is a petrol station right by the airport which most hirers use to top up their cars, not sure what the opening hours are but I have used it at 20.30 before this, also there is a Repsol station on the N332 at the Gran Alacant entrance, if this is closed there is an unmanned 24 hour c/card station in the Centro Commercial at Gran Alacant. I appreciate you were not familiar with the area, just to note for next time.
