If your main residency is your Spanish house , does this affect any of your benefits?

Hi Andy,
It depends what benefits you're referring to - some are exportable from UK to Spain, others are not.

I think that if it is your main residence you are no longer a UK resident. Happy to be corrected!

You are entitled to transfer some of your benefits to Spain such as carers allowances. I think the DLA but not the allowance that gives you a car.
You really need to contact the DWP to check what your personal benefits are and whether they are exportable.

PIP AND MOBILITY, carers allowance,
PIP...no but worth asking, you might get something.
MOBILITY.....absolutely no
CARERS ALLOWANCE ....maybe but you need to ask the overseas benefits department if you are eligible.
