My husband is wanting to rent a property in Denia from 8th Feb 2019 and leaving 9th March for a cycling holiday. He had booked somewhere and paid deposit but just found out the owner had apparently double booked! Really really disappointed. He has emailed others on the idealista site but no one replied. Can anyone advise as he's booked flights now.  Help!

Does "owner" and "property" really exist? How can you pay for something you haven't seen to someone you do not know?

Eh...thanks. Not particularly helpful.  Are you able to give any thoughts on  other accommodation available?

Have a look on Holiday Lettings. You may be able to negotiate a rate on a holiday let as it is out of season.

Killjoy ??

When anybody books something online I very much doubt that they have either met the owner or visited the property before , it’s called an on-line booking, and apparently is the way forward...!!

Sorry, but I'd call it "online rip off".
