I have eu passport (dutch, and my partner is from serbia. We both live in malta now. He have maltese id card.
But yes with a contract and some help of the company it will be allright. Then we can apply for a permit and residency.
Eu or non eu. He is a very hard and punctial worker. You wont regret🙂
The problem with non EU workers is that Spain can only offer work to a non EU worker if there are no suitable EU workers available and this has hit us Brits hard, all but ruling out getting a work permit unless highly specialised although I don't know if this applies if he gets residency off the back of yours.
What I would suggest is the tried and tested method of contacting installers in the area.

There is a very well known firm of heating engineers in Javea called Silvasol, website available. They have multinational, multilingual staff. They are very efficient and undertake all kinds of heating work. It may be worth contacting them.
