I am moving to the region of Denia (15 minutes away actually) in one month's time.   I have previous experience house minding and dealing with change over's etc in France and the UK, and I am aiming to develop my business in this area of Spain where I shall live permanently.   I can supply references of course.   I provide a range of service: cleaning, airport pick ups, change overs, welcome packs, pet minding, and in your case house watching, security.

Kim just be aware that unless you are registered as "autonomo" (self employed) it is not legal to provide these services. Also be aware that airport pick ups require the relevant business insurance. If you had a claim against you in the event of being uninsured it could be serious.

We also own a property in the Montogo area where we recently moved from Canada. I happen to be a registered self-employed(autonomo) and would be more than happy to meet with you to discuss details. I took early retirement at 58 and, as you can appreciate, I have a lot of spare time at my disposal. I am in perfect physical health, very active and able to take care of our property by myself. So taking care of an additional property would be a pleasure for me.

I am a handy man and since we recently reformed our house I happen to know all the good and trustworthy companies in the area, in case of any emergencies(plumbing, electricity, etc). My services cover property maintenance(including garden and lawn), airport pickups, sitting your pets, etc.

Hi Rosco,

thank you for your response and interest in my previous post, albeit quite a while ago now!

We are still looking for someone to check on our Villa from time to time, we haven't followed up on making any arrangements with anyone due to generally being extremely busy with other things, but it was the storm in Denia last month that was plastered all over the news that brought back our concerns for our Villa and the importance of connecting with someone in the area at time like these. I hear there were huge winds and saw the devastation of the poor old Fernando Restaurante and the Sport Centre. 

I am flying out to Denia on Friday morning for a couple of days to check everything is ok with our Villa, (and a quiet beer or two without the kids)...

As its been a while i would like to ask if you are still interested in checking on things from time to time as well as any other potential maintenance as mentioned in my last post, and if so if you would like to meet up sometime for a chat, although i do appreciate this weekends visit would be really short notice..

Good to hear back from you. 

Indeed, the last storm did quite a bit of damage in the area and so did the strong wind last week. 

Friday morning I'm going in for a root canal so technically speaking I should be out of commission for the day. However Saturday I am available to meet for introductions and a pint anytime after 11 AM.
