Hi. Hope you can help. My wife & I currently have a house near La Manga. Been there nearly 20 yrs.  We are going to sell our  uk home in Scotland and the Spanish house as well & make a permanent move to around Denia. We like to go exploring & have been to Denia many times & and visited the local villages with a view to a permanent move. Can anyone help with recommendations of a local lawyer with regards to a LSV & moving house.
Many thanks

Neil

You will have to apply at the nearest Spanish consulate in GB. They will give you all the information how to proceed and what you need.

Thank you.

Is there any point in hiring a Spanish lawyer?

Some posts say do it yourself, and some say they had great help from their lawyer.

Need one anyway to move house, wills etc.

Don't know about help with the NLV, but three years ago when I moved out here, I used the firm Tecnicos Asociados of Denia to buy my house, specifically lawyer Beatriz Carapato. She is fluent in English. Not the cheapest, but very thorough and professional. Google them.

This link to the NLV may help:

How to apply for a Non-Lucrative visa (NLV)

Beware of sporadic offers of help from the Internet, it could cost you dear!!

As stated, you need to apply for the NLV from the Spanish consulate in London or Manchester. You will need to meet the income and healthcare requirements.

Income no problem. Health insurance, same question. Who to use. Prices vary up to 2k each. In know health care is very good. I’m sure good lawyer will have links with some of them, or do I just do it myself?
