Hello,
We have come to Denia a few days ago and we have not been able to book taxis at all? Does anyone know if there is something up?
I personal think it is a combination of things. First with Covid a lot of drivers left the business. Second, Car hire prices are up through the roof so people have not hired this year. Thirdly The number of tourists has increased dramatically. Keep trying

August in Denia is something I avoid to be honest, but then I'm lucky to be able to visit on the other 11 months.
It could be that there aren't enough cars, it could also be that the firms have decided not to do pre booking. Honestly I don't know. Pretty sure there's a taxi rank at the bottom of Marques de Campo over by the yachts. There are others. Hopefully this link might help..

Thank you for your reply..myself and my family had come to the same conclusion. We would normally be OK with using the bus but we have a toddler with us this year and we didn't want to push it with the heat! My sister who travelled solo with him was stranded in the bus station two days ago and no sign of any taxis- we must of rang 10 number and all were either engaged or no answer! She walked into the port to the bus stop/taxi rank and the same thing again no taxi's showed up. She ended up walking with all her luggage and toddler.

Thanks for your reply.. my sisters family usually travel here in August with no issues..that being said that was pre covid. The ranks in the port had no taxis at all! We have tried ringing the past two days numerous numbers and all were either engaged or no answer. We will manage but its unusual. Thanks again for the reply.
I have an apartment in the las Marinas area of Denia with a disability and taxis for short runs are impossible what has gone wrong. When I first had the appointment you could phone any of the taxi companies and they would take you any where.

I believe the cost of the licence makes it risky/unviable.

Have you tried UBER? If you sign up and download the App you can then see if somebody is,available and the price.
