There's an Iberdrola office in Denia on Carrer de Sandunga. Very helpful, English spoken. I would highly recommend dropping in there.

Google Iberdrola Denia for map.

I don't have water from Aqualia but there is an office in Denia on Carrer Abu-Zeyan, might be a good place to start.

Google Aqualia Denia for map.

Suma is on Passeig Saladar. However if you take your first bill into your bank they will accept payment and set up a direct debit. Future bills will arrive at your property and show the date when the payment will be taken. Might save you a trip to the office...

Trying to fix stuff on the phone or internet with utility companies is quite difficult in my experience, always better to get face to face.

Edit..... I just re-read your post and realise you're currently in the UK. If you don't get any joy on the phone and not due in Spain for a while you might want to get a price from your Abogado office to sort it, or use a Gestoria. I don't have any contacts for that in Denia but I do just over the Montgo in Javea, and although they're in Javea they could sort your problems, obviously at a cost. If you want their contact details let me know.

Kind regards

Steve

Hi Steve thank for your help - unfortunately I am not back in Denia until June next year as we have friends staying at our apartment over the winter.  Trying to sort out bills by phone as you say seems impossible

Yes, all the receptionists speak good English. Ask for Nieves first, she's very nice, tell her that Steve from Los Lagos recommended you. (I don't get a commission!)

The company is called Anton Abogados, Oscar Anton being the Abogado, but from the same office they run Arenal Administration, so they look after Urbanisations but also do private work for individuals.

Tel 00 34 96 646 31 77 taken from invoice info, if that number doesn't work call 00 34 966 885 191

Or email an enquiry to

[email protected]

They close at 5.

Thanks Jim for your help.  I have emailed Iberdrola as the online registration does not recognise my NIE number and thats all the info I have as never had a bill before.

I have also emailed Aqualia asking for online access

I called Suma who were fairly unhelpful - said they would email me an up to date bill (which they haven't).

But I will persevere !! :-)

I had the same NIE/DNI issue with the Iberdrola website.

I recently contacted Suma from the uk. Google Suma Denia and use that number it gives you an English option.

Aqualia usually call you back with an English speaking rep.

I have contacted Iberdrola by email and they did come back eventually.

However if you have friends staying ask them to go to the local offices. Alternatively I assume you have a spanish solicitor? Ours is in Denia and has been very useful helping with various Spanish companies even going to the Suma offices on our behalf.

Good luck, Lesley
