Hi, Just purchased an unfurnished apartment in the centre of Denia. Looking for suggestions on where to get furniture.

Hi Rob, lots of larger furniture shops on the Partida Madrigueres just on the edge of Denia on the start of the CV 725 Ondara. It's walkable from Denia town centre. There's a good kitchenware shop there too. The Portal de la Marina shopping centre on the N332 has several good furniture and household shops including Jysk (think of a mini version of IKEA)

The nearest IKEA is at Valencia about 45 minutes up the motorway.

happy shopping,

Steve

No problem. There's also a good furniture shop in Ondara, called Ondara Descans. Not the cheapest you'll find, but some nice and more individual stuff. If you want top notch designer stuff try Albir Colonial in Gata, bought my terrace furniture there and it wasn't crazy money.

At Jysk you'll get bedding, towels, tables, chairs, curtains, etc and lots of other bits and pieces. They do beds but not the cheapest on beds. Definitely worth a visit before you start the process.

AKI is worth a visit - think upmarket Homebase. It's stands alone on the right as you drive into Portal de la Marina.

Hi Rob

I'm in the process of buying a villa near Pego from an English guy. It was fully furnished, however I'm taking over a lot of my own stuff so I'm only buying a limited amount from him, and he wants to sell the rest.

I know he's got two very nice sofas for sale, only 18 months old, plus double bed, coffee table, sideboard, all very tasteful and in good condition. PM me if interested and I'll send you his e-mail address.

cheers

If you could, that would be useful.

Rob, I'm really sorry, but I contacted him yesterday and he told me he's sold it all to a house clearance company. Good luck with your furniture hunting, and enjoy Denia!

cheers

Mike
