Frees at satellite frequency change
Had no signal for 2 days... Anyone know if the frequency has changed from Astra2D 28.2E?

Don't know if it applies to you but does your LNB have a hole down the middle, as twice in the last couple of months bugs have decided to set up home in LNB so cured it with a squirt of fly spray, worth checking.

Astra 2D stopped transmitting UKTV signals Feb 2013...and is currently at 57.2°E....so you will not get any signals from that satellite.
But there are over 100 frequencies used for UK TV on the three UKTV satellites, 2e, 2f and 2g...and all are working fine
Channels chop and change frequencies quite often... not so much the big ones (BBC ITV C4 Five) which have pretty uch stayed on the same frequencies for years now, but a lot of the other smaller free channels and Sky pay channels do quite often...eg Sky News moved off 12207 where it has been for years...to two new frequencies...
But no, all channels (all 300 plus of them) did not change their frequencies to new ones in the last 2 days...
So your loss of channels can be down to many things, like dish alignment (a few millimeters can make all the difference, so just looking at your dish will not tell you if it has moved), LNB issues (port failure, to insects / debris inside the LNB - if a prime focus lnb), to connection issues (water on connections burns the connection), crap cabling (cable installed where it gets the sun all day cracks and lets water in the cable, or cable buried in the ground or a tube where water can soak into the cable), to receiver problems....

The "solar outage" you refer to happens when the suns path takes it right behind the satellites - this only happens in March and October time - exquinox time ish.
It cannot happen now as the sun it too high in the sky and passes well above the satellite line (the Clarke Belt (after Arthur C Clarke) as it is known for geostationary orbiting satellites).
So your drop in signals is nothing to do with the suns path across the sky...as the sun is nowhere near the satellites at the moment!
You may be experiencing signal issues due to heat and humidity, or interference from other sources... but it is not the sun!

Like i said, channels change frequencies often.... not so much the ones from BBC ITV C4 Five, but other less popular ones, and Sky pay channels.
But , for example, Sky News moved from its used for years frequency of 12207 to another a few weeks ago...
Sky and Freesat boxes automatically update to any new frequencies...so most people will not see any changes..
Here you can see the most recent frequency / name changes for UK satellite channels at 28 east : https://en.kingofsat.net/news28.2E.php
where as you can see CNBC HD closed, A Sky Cinema changed its name and three of the Viacom channels moved to a Viacom owned frequency...in the last few days,..
Or perhaps you heard about changes to Spanish TDT, which were to be completed by Easter 2020 (i thnk), but due to CV19, have been delayed to later this year,...where more frequencies allocated to TDT have been sold off to 5G, and need to be cleared, so all channels currently on 50-60 range of frequencies have to move to new frequencies...?
