Well hello to all.

I'm a doubter regards masks but worn one.(don't want a fine)

Can anyone at all explain to me this now stupid, idiotic ruling for masks?.

You now in certain regions don't have to where a mask whilst outside unless you are closer than 1,5 metres to the next nearest person, people at which point you have to carry your mask to put on.

Now..... that person, people could be walking to the same bar as you are,at which point you can take off your mask and socialize for as long as you wish with any person now sitting/standing at that establishment, WITHOUT the god forsaken useless mouth n nose piece.

It simply doesn't make sense.

Therefore Covid 19 ???????

Nope, sorry, I can't make any more sense of it than you can.  Neither the current rules, nor the benefit of it at all outdoors.  Even indoors there is still precious little evidence that they help reduce transmission, except possibly in poorly ventilated spaces where you are in close contact with other people. Such as an office corridor in the Dept. of Health.  Ask Matt Hancock, he'll explain.

I don't know how they can measure the effectiveness of masks, however during all of the pandemic I personally haven't met anyone who has a cold/flu, of course people have had covid but your everyday colds/flu have almost disappeared

I can only surmise that masks have had some parts to play, along with hand cleanliness and distance.

Surely anything is worth the effort to try to combat this pandemic.

I don't know the answer to that, but i do know I can't remember such a long time that my friends and family haven't had a cold/flu.

Neither has any of them had the dreaded covid, that they know, so distance, cleanliness and masks must have had some impact.

Personally glad to see end of mandatory  use of masks outdoors  ,to me no sense in making mask wearing outdoors mandatory  , when one can social distance, of course you will still see people wearing masks outdoors  ,that's their right ,always said in large cities must be very difficult to social distance but in small towns and villages no problem  ,so makes sense that if you can social distance outdoors no mask ,another thing removal of masks a step in right direction back to normality

Of course you can stay your distance outside but that doesn't cover the folks who can't understand the rules or are not prepared to - they can still come too close to you. Basically I don't think these rules are necessarily for folks with common sense but for those who when offered an inch will take a mile....and unfortunately looking at social media there are loads in the latter bracket.
