Cold is as cold feels.

I don't like being cold but in my two full time Winters here the only warm clothing I've had to don for an evening out has been a pair of slacks and a light weight fleece.

I no longer in fact possess any what you might call 'Winter' clothing.

January is very quiet and cold so I would think around March would be your best bet to get away from the UK. We go out around the 2nd of March for about 5-6 weeks and the weather is nice. Nice I say but around 16.00 it starts to get cool as the sun goes down. Make sure you take some warm clothes for the evenings. We always book Airbnb and it is a good price at this time of year. You will be paying around 500 Euros per month. Our last stay at Playa de cura was 520 Euros for 5 weeks.

Here in Benidorm it can get very cold in the winter months. Often it's quite warm during the daytime but drops cold quickly early evening so bring warm clothing. It may seem warmer to holidaymakers but as residents we are used to the warmer weather and feel the cold. We wear thick clothes and heavier jackets during the evenings in the winter months
