I would suggest that you contact one of the charity shops that raise money for animal charities to enquire further. There is a Horse Charity shop in La Zenia down the street from the Randy Leprechaun pub and a dog Charity Shop in Cabo Roig near the N332 roundabout, there may be others closer to your location.

Hi,

If you're wanting to volunteer to work with the animals rather than in a shop the Torrevieja Municipal Animal Shelter is crying out for volunteers, especially in the cattery but also with the dogs.

Don't know if it's too far for you to travel but it's in Torrevieja opposite Carrefour behind the Fire Station.

I was aware that the OP was looking to work with caring for the the animals and was suggesting that the OP contact a shop as they are linked to animal shelters and would be able to tell how to volunteer at the shelters.

Hi John,

I wasn't  demeaning what you were saying just wasn't sure what they were after.

Sorry if I offended you.

No problem, I just thought you misunderstood want I was saying, all is good and hopefully the OP will find something where they can help animals and get the great satisfaction from volunteering.

You could ask at the Little Pod Association shop in the Los Dolses shopping centre.  I am not sure where their kennels are.  They have dogs and cats.

The Torrevieja Municipal Shelter as mentioned by Madcatwoman does not seem to get as much publicity as the private charities and might be in more desperate need for volunteers.
