Having difficulty getting a bank to reply! I am buying a property locally to el campello and want to open a bank account. Currently I speak no Spanish but have my NIE and Euros to deposit into a current account, can anyone advise a bank with an English speaker who will help?

I should explain that I am currently in the UK....have paid deposit on a property and NIE expected soon. I 'd like to set up a meeting rather than fly down and walk in hoping to see someone.

We have been with Sabadell for nearly four years and every Branch we have used has English speaking staff and their service is excellent.

Sadly no email address but his desk station is the first on the left as you enter the bank. Guy in early 40’s, glasses, slim build.

There are many banks that have English speaking people and it is best to just go and ask to open a new account and say you'd like to speak English. Email is not the best way to open the account. Once it is set up, you can do more with the APP and electronically. We use CAJA RURAL since the fees are more reasonable than others - for instance La CAIXA has very high fees for both Spanish people and those from outside of Spain.
