I suspect they are someone's racing pigeons so no luck at getting rid of them .I had the same problem, not too far from you,in Alfaz with someone who regularly let them out for a"wing around" from his terrace where he obviously had a "loft".I was fed up with them leaving their(many) marks on my washing & all over my roof terrace which was in the vicinity.I was a bird breeder myself everything from canaries to parrots so understood his interest but hopefully mine did not cause anyone to complain, apart from my African Grey wolf whistling & shouting"Give us a tickle".I had a little statue of an owl which I placed quite high up &,until it crumbled due to the heat, did make the pigeons veer off elsewhere.

Hi Thanks for your suggestion but No they are definatly pigeons, i think Dogsbody has hit on the problem, i think they are someones racing pigeons or similar, as they only come between approx. 1pm and 5pm everyday and they are really becoming a problem, they are also discouraging our normal bird population from the site

Hi, Unfortunatly where i have my villa it is not an urbanization as such, so no president, if we have any problems we have to go direct to the town hall, although they are very good if i report any problems, cannot see if they could do anything about pigeons,

Wouldn't think the townhall or a Communidad Presidente would help as racing pigeons in Spain is a national sport! When I lived in a previous house which had a large open garden space, the local club would sometimes follow their birds on foot all over my plot.I had a similar problem when I had a business in a rural area where the locals, during the hunting season, used to let off their sporting dogs until I told them I was catching them on my land & charging a Kenneling fee.In Spain you have to learn to be like the Natives!
