I hear comments a lot on this forum about how safe Spain is compared to the Uk unfortunately the numbers don’t stack up Spain has over 12000 cases again today

In total 584000 which is a lot more than the Uk however the Uk may be two weeks behind Spain so to be totally honest no one really knows all of Europe is struggling to contain this virus we love our life living in Spain but we have family in the Uk who feel as safe as one can at such times,...

...

Cheers Ian mc

You are assuming the UK government is being truthful, which in the case of Boris the Buffoon and his arrogant, unqualified bunch of not so merry ministers, is fairly unlikely. Added to that you may wish to consider the major occurrence of cases is concentrated in two or three population centres.

Well said Ianmc,

Like you,I am being constantly reminded how safe Spain is but one wonders. Here in the U.K., if we are dining or having a coffee, we must complete a contact list.   This does NOT  happen in Spain.  Masks being worn on the streets and on the country lanes in Spain is mandatory but in my opinion, sometimes unnecessary.  We have to wear them in shops and other places. My sister and her husband have just returned from a superb golfing holiday in Scotland. Everyone in their various hotels had to wear a mask as did the staff and they felt extremely safe.

People in Spain are being led to believe that we are all running around ignoring the Covid rules and it simply isn’t true. Yes, we have had incidents of young people misbehaving but what’s new about that?  Your safety is in your own clean hands!  Watch where you are going, avoid crowds, wash your hands often and thoroughly, wear you mask where instructed to or everywhere if you prefer and we should manage to stay healthy and well. I like to wear surgical gloves when out and about....removed and hands sanitized as soon as I get into the car and then carefully disposed of.

If you plan to visit your holiday home, more than likely, you will go to the beach...Safe enough out in the fresh air and in your own beach section.  Going out for a meal...again, choose a place you know and believe is clean and use your sanitizer after reading the menu, buy your groceries in bulk and try not to have to go very often.   Wash all your fruit ,veg, tomatoes etc.,  be extra vigilant and you will have a wonderful holiday.

It’s like being at home,  be careful and you will be fine.

Enjoy.

The instructions are clear for everybody to understand and apply, unfortunately it’s those that don’t that are affecting everybody else...

Thank you Granny Rose like I said in my previous post most countries are struggling including the UK and Spain.

We love are life in Spain but we also enjoy are life in the UK great place to live just very poor weather 😂

Anyway the figures do not lie one guy made a comment about how you can’t trust Boris I just don’t get involved I am very passionate about both my countries we have great friends and family in both including loads of Spanish friends some of them work in hospitals in murcia and they are really disappointed with some Spanish people as we are disappointed with some British people that’s just people they just don’t get this virus deaths are rising in Spain and they will rise again in the Uk.

Anyway take care and keep washing thoughts hands masks not sure how much help they are I personally feel it gives people a false sense of security

Thank you for your kind words

We were in Campello Friday. Everyone wearing masks, bars and restaurants open, all be it quiet. All shops and supermarkets open, no gloves required now, but must sanitise.

The crowds have gone and you can park again. The Covid case for El Campello are still low, and we have only had 1 case in Busot, but think its inevitable that we may get more....

...

Hi there yes we go very often to El Campello as we live near the Moutain área so we do enjoy out trip there and can say we do feel safe people wearing masks mostly and the cleaning of tables and chairs before next customer and also some olace u have to request to sit before taking a table which we are happy with. Gel everywhere yes we are happy going there service is very attentive and wary of cleanliness good I know it's always in the back of your mind where ever u travel but yes we shall go there again pronto
