So this morning, I am gathering all may paperwork for my flight out to Alicante tomorrow and notice that my NHS Covid Pass is only showing one of my two vaccinations. My husband's is showing both. The surgery is now closed so too late to get them to update it. I have my little vaccination card showing the dates of both. I am now worried that I might get turned away at the airport and if I wasn't already stressed out before with all the paperwork, my stress levels have gone through the roof. Do you think I might get turned back?

I can understand your anxiety, and sorry it would be speculation, to answer your question, I think it may be a case of the person who views your paperwork ,they may or may not be sympathetic. You say you have your appointment card that shows the dates ,,it would depend on how the person views this .I'd like to ask you a question, your name suggests you are originally from Scotland ,if you still live there you will have a paper version of your vaccination status ,I contacted my member of Scottish parliament early Monday morning and recieved a reply late yesterday afternoon not from her but someone who works for her, I had asked why like England I could not download my vaccination status ,I was told that I could receive a paper version ,this I already knew ,but no help as I'm already in Spain and will start the drive back in 2 weeks time .Your situation is a perfect example on why people in Scotland should be given the option of paper or digital version ,the digital could be easier to amend and would not be facing a nervous time.I do hope all goes well for you tomorrow and you arrive in Spain

Thanks John, however despite the name (yes very Scottish) and I was born in Scotland but now live in the UK. But thanks for taking to the time to respond. I've got a Vets appointment shortly as the cat has decided now is the time to be ill! What with a broken tooth during the week...maybe I am not meant to travel tomorrow? Stress levels on a scale of 1-10 - 10!

What is the date of your 2nd jab? I had mine last week and I've been told that it won't appear on the app until 2 weeks after and then may take an extra 5 days to appear.

10th May, this one is showing but my first jab isn't which was in February. As John says, it may be a case of who processes my paperwork at the airport. Are the Covid records for the UK or Spain?

Hi not sure if it is too late but you could do a test, I think Boots do them, does it say on your certificate 2nd vaccination? You may be ok if it does, but I would check with your airline.

Hello
Sorry to be a bearer of bad news but you can't use the appointment cards for proof of vaccine. See photo.

I think you can do a test at the airports.
Sue 😘
Sorry but why should she do a test ,she has had both vaccinations, it was someone's error ,that omitted her 2nd vaccination .I thought in England you could download your vaccination status to your phone ,surely there has to be a number to contact to get this righted

Hello
I just added at the bottom that airports do test, just incase it's not sorted out.
I pulled the information for my friend who wanted to use her NHS vaccines appointment card as proof of vaccines and that's why I added that information.
I was vaccinated in Spain and don't know a lot on the NHS vaccine but I did notice only one phone number to request your certificate by post. The number is 119 and must be worth a call. They might provide another number to use.
Sue 😘

Hi Scots Lass,
Sorry to hear of your plight - especially as it's happened on the weekend. While it is annoying for you that your vaccination record isn't up to date, Sue's advice, to obtain a negative test result, does seem to be the most sensible way forward. This extract from Gov.UK says that your vaccination appointment card cannot be used as proof of vaccination, but that a negative Covid-19 test is acceptable as an alternative:
Testing and vaccination requirements for arrivals from the UK
The Spanish government requires all arrivals to Spain from the UK (excluding children under the age of 12 years old) to present on entry one of the following:
documentation certifying that you have undertaken a COVID-19 nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT - e.g. PCR, TMA, LAMP or NEAR) within 72 hours prior to arrival in Spain and tested negative. Antigen tests can only be used in certain limited circumstances (as outlined in section ‘k’ of the ‘Entry requirements for entry in Spain from third countries’ on the Spanish Ministry of Health ‘Travel and COVID-19’ page) and are not accepted if you are travelling from the UK to Spain for tourism purposes (see Reason for travel to Spain below for further information).
proof of being fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to arrival in Spain (date(s) of vaccination must be specified), with a vaccine authorised by the European Medicines Agency or by the World Health Organisation. Spain will accept the UK’s solutions to demonstrate your COVID vaccination status. Your NHS appointment card from vaccination centres is not designed to be used as proof of vaccination and should not be used to demonstrate your vaccine status.
Good luck!
Kind regards,
Kim
