Hi there, my French gardener has been telling me that there are 2 types of 'lawns' that can be grown in Alicante and that dont' require much water....

As he is eagerly trying to push me into contacting his fellow compatriot in Alicante, I was hoping if someone had ever heard of this, and where it can be got?  I have yet to get the names..... As if these 2 'lawns' exist I could the local gardener used by my neighbours to install it for us at I'm sure would be a fraction of the price of the other guy.  As we don't live in alicante permanently we don't want to invest in a 'proper' lawn both for that reason and for environmental reasons.  If we found something that could effectively cover up the remains of the previous owner's 'lawn' it would make life a bit easier and avoid wasting water unnecessarily.

thanks for any help!

If you Google mousse grass it is not actually grass but a green spray foamy covering. For sale on internet. I wouldn't think it lasts well so perhaps people use it for special occasion cover ups.

Thanks sounds a bit the opposite of what the French gardener said...will have to try and get the names from him and then do my own research the whole point is NOT to use lots of water!!
